Worn with these coats, it’s a fast track to seduction.At least according to Michael Kors, whose mood board focused on a lot of stylish 1970s women, from Gloria Steinem to Lena Horne to Yoko Ono, most of whom seemed to have a mean way with outerwear.“Of course, comfort is key now,” he says. “But if you have to go out in gym clothes, at least wear a fabulous coat!” A leopard-print calf-hair trench (“it’s not waterproof, there are people who do that”) was a standout piece while an ankle-length Italian herringbone tweed number, precisely fitted to reveal a slither of thigh, would happily replace any gown.Even his red carpet offering – a hand-sequinned gold bell-bottom jumpsuit – was topped with knee-length single-breasted camel cashmere.Well, for now.
