Firefighters tackle blaze at popular Manchester café

Crews spent around two hours dealing with a fire at The Phoenix Deli, on Oswald Road, in Chorlton. Emergency services were called out to the business at around 10:30pm on Tuesday night (August 24) following reports of a fire. READ MORE: The fire involved a chiller unit and a display cabinet, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels, breaking-in gear and lighting equipment to tackle the flames and make the area safe.
