THE latest Harry Potter spin-off film Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is facing backlash over J.K. Rowling’s involvement and the arrest of a major cast member.
The swanky world premiere is being held at London’s Royal Festival Hall tonight but journalists have been banned from the red carpet over concerns talk could turn to the author’s controversial views on gender.
Rowling, who co-wrote the film, has been criticised on social media for suggesting male-to-female trans people aren’t women.
The franchise has been thrown into further disarray after one of the leading stars Ezra Miller, 29, was arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning.
