Having sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November, key figures in the Old Trafford boardroom have turned to Ajax boss Ten Hag as their next permanent boss.
The club announced the news officially on Thursday morning. Ralf Rangnick is still in interim charge and will take up an advisory role at the end of this season, with Ten Hag starting work at United in the summer.
