EMMERDALE’s Gaynor Faye has revealed she quit the soap because she couldn’t say no to working with her mum. The 48-year-old – who has played Megan Macey since 2011 – made the decision to leave to appear in the stage adaptation of her mum Kay Mellor’s show Band Of Gold.
Kay is a well-known TV writer and is bringing her grounding breaking 90s hit TV show to stage with a star-studded cast, including her actress daughter.
