Amanda Holden
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

Emmerdale fails to receive a single BAFTA nomination year after winning best soap

Emmerdale has been snubbed from this year's nominations for the TV BAFTAs, despite winning the award for best soap in 2020. The ITV soap has not received one single nomination, and instead Coronation Street, EastEnders, Hollyoaks and Casualty will battle it out for the accolade at this year's ceremony.

BBC's EastEnders has received a BAFTA TV Awards nomination once again after being snubbed last year - and the moment of Chantelle Atkin's murder has been nominated for a Must See Moment award.

Ever since the the Best Soap and Continuing Drama category was introduced in 1999, the Walford-based soap has won it nine times, more than any other show.
