Manchester United fans have spotted an embarrassing moment where Paul Pogba was forced to ask Marcus Rashford to track back in the lead up to Southampton’s goal on Saturday. The Red Devils suffered another disappointing result in the Premier League as Southampton came back from a goal down to secure a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.United were put in front by Jadon Sancho, who grabbed his first league goal of the season in the first-half, before Che Adams fired back three minutes after the break. There was poor defending all around as Southampton dissected the United defence, but eagle-eyed fans especially noticed Rashford’s reluctance to help out his team-mates by tracking back.Rashford, 24, came out fresh and ready after the break but did not show any interest in hunting down the marauding Saints left-back.

His frustrated French teammate Pogba, sensing the danger, even waved for the Englishman to press to no avail. Southampton played several passes down that very channel before Adams finished his chance brilliantly.

And Man United supporters were left outraged after re-watching the clip. One account wrote: "Anthony Martial was called lazy for doing this exact same thing Rashford did here."You can even see Pogba pointing at him to close the player down.”Another fan wrote: “There are quite a few things that went wrong defensively ahead of Southampton's goal, but the clear and obvious thing is the absolute pathetic effort from Marcus Rashford just 2 minutes out of halftime. “Surely he can't be gassed right from the break.
