Elon Musk is addressing his enormous bid to own Twitter. The world’s richest man spoke out in a TED Talk on Thursday (April 14) about his headline-making $43 billion offer to buy out Twitter. Click inside to read more… “I could technically afford it.

But this [deal] is not a way to make money. Having a public platform that is trusted and broadly inclusive is extremely important to the future of civilization.

I don’t care about the economics at all,” he explained, via Deadline. “I am not sure I will actually be able to acquire it,” he added.

If he’s successful, he believes there “will be quite a few errors. I hope it won’t be too miserable. I just think it’s important to the function of democracy.
