Brits must wear face coverings when in shops and out and about under the new law.Although customers are required to wear face masks in shops, venues such as pubs are exempt.Last night it was revealed face masks will also be made mandatory in takeaway shops in an amendment to the new laws being brought in from Friday.However, restaurants and premises with dine-in options will not be required to implement the rule.Police have been given powers to fine anybody flouting the new law £100, which will be reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days.Official guidance also states: "If you are infected but have not yet developed symptoms, it may provide some protection for others you come into close contact with," reports Birmingham Live.Punters at pubs,.
