Pokemon cards are now worth. Nigel Brookes received the pack of cards from his mum over 20 years ago as a thank you for looking out for his younger brother.Back in 1999, Nigel defended his then seven-year-old brother Jeremy, now 28, from kids who were trying to con him for his cards.Then 34-year-old's mum bought the collector's edition pack for £300 as a reward, despite Nigel not being a fan of Pokemon.He set them to the side hoping that one day these cards will be worth a fortune – and he was right about that.Now two decades later, the business owner from Birmingham had the cards valued by an auctioneer which revealed its worth.The dad-of-three said: "Jeremy ran into the house showing off this new Pokemon card he had traded with the kids.
