Birmingham have retired their No.22 shirt in honour of Jude Bellingham after the youngster sealed a £25million move to Borussia Dortmund earlier this week - and Blues fans are absolutely baffled.The 17-year-old has earned himself a lucrative switch to Dortmund after bursting onto the scene at Birmingham this season, becoming a key member of their midfield after making his professional debut back in August of last year.Manchester United were also interested in prising him away from St Andrew’s, but in the end Bellingham opted for the Bundesliga outfit this summer.And astonishingly, Birmingham have decided to retire their No.22 shirt in honour of Bellingham - despite the player only making 44 appearances for them in total.A club statement.
