Eddie Hearn believes Dana White would have been better off avoiding a war of words with Jake Paul, who he says excels when it comes to trash-talk.
Paul and White have been engaged in a public back-and-forth, which began over genuine concerns but soon descended into personal jibes.
After the YouTuber joined the push for UFC fighters to get better pay, he decided to attack White personally over the PPV sales his promotion was attracting.
He later accused the UFC boss of taking cocaine, which White denied and responded to by suggesting Paul was using steroids.While there have been many examples of other jabs sent by both parties, the general consensus is that the YouTuber has been the one who has the upper hand when it comes to their war of words.Hearn believes this was always likely to be the case, and says White made a mistake by engaging with the social media star in the first place.The Matchroom boss will be co-promoting a huge boxing fight with Paul in April, and says he has learned to give the American the floor when it comes to talking as he has a real talent for it.
