Tommy Fury has sent a message to Jake Paul ahead of his return to boxing this year. The two had been scheduled to fight one another in December, but Fury was forced to withdraw from the bout after suffering a broken rib and struggling with a bacterial chest infection.

Instead, Paul's former opponent Woodley stepped up to replace Fury and Paul landed a knockout shot on the former UFC champion.

Fury has stated that he hopes that the two can reschedule their fight in 2022, whilst previously stating he's looking to box at least three or four times.

He said: "So as soon as I can get the all clear for the rib and can go back sparring again and all that other stuff I’ll be straight back in the ring. "Because I’ve got some seriously itchy knuckles. "I’ve got one more scan to go, one more MRI to do with the rib to see where that’s at and to see where how much it’s healed and how much we’ve got left. "And then after that I can jump straight back into the ring because I’ve already been keeping the weight down, raring to go." After Paul's victory over Fury's replacement, Woodley, Fury stated that he was not impressed.
