Holidaymakers set to fly to Spain this summer may wish to change their booking after the government announced that travellers will have to self-isolate for 14 days.

The shock announcement last night came just 16 days after quarantine measures were dropped for people returning from Spain. It comes as the popular holiday destination recorded more than 900 new daily infections over the past two days, with spikes in the regions of Catalonia and Aragon.

On Friday, a leading health official admitted that Spain could be about to experience a second wave of coronavirus infections.
