ITV has confirmed that its soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale will resume airing the normal pattern of six episodes each week from mid-September.
Both shows were put on a reduced schedule of three shows a week during the coronavirus pandemic, as they were forced to stop filming and were at risk of running out of footage.
