Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, the FCO has been continually reviewing its advice for Brits planning trips abroad. In some cases such as Spain and Portugal, the government has advised against 'all but essential travel'.
As it continues to monitor numbers of coronavirus cases, the FCO has been adding more countries to the list, most notably France and the Netherlands earlier this week.
For Brits, this means that most package holidays and flights are being cancelled, as these are deemed to be 'non-essential' travel.
But what exactly does count as 'essential' travel. Essentially, it depends on a case-by-case basis - and the FCO leaves it down to you to decide for yourself.
