Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have made an appearance in ITV's starry new Christmas advert despite being replaced on This Morning.

The pair have been included in the channel's annual festive offering just weeks after the Mirror revealed they'd lost their regular Friday slot on the show.

Eamonn and Ruth have been replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, and will now only host the show during holidays. However, despite the shake-up, the husband-and-wife duo are still part of ITV Daytime's Christmas commercial.

In the advert, telly boffins have used computer wizardy to transform Alison into a jolly Father Christmas while Eamonn and Ruth are seen dancing among some treats.
