Alison Hammond was left a little red-faced when she accidentally smashed a glass ornament while chatting to Dolly Parton. The 45-year-old presenter had called the country legend from her home to chat all things music when the awkward accident happened.

The This Morning star had already been in fits of giggles as she had a wonderful exchange with the iconic singer, 74, who had called via Zoom to discuss her new album.

As well as talking about Miley Cyrus and Michael Buble, Alison was even praised for her vocal skills when she broke out in song during the interview.

Everything was going to well as Alison reached for a bundle of gifts that she wanted to show to Dolly. "This interview has been going to well, what could possibly go wrong?"
