Donald Trump Jr has been locked out of Twitter temporarily for spreading false claims about the coronavirus. According to a screenshot being widely shared on the social media platform the US President's son has been partially shut out of the site.

He has been accused of "violating the policy on spreading misinformation and potentially harmful information related to Covid-19".

The claim is linked to a tweet Trump Jr made which shared a video of doctors talking about Hydroxychloroquine - a controversial drug his father claimed to be taking to ward off the coronavirus.

For the next 12 hours Trump Jr will not be able to tweet, retweet or like any posts. Mirror Online has contacted Twitter to confirm the veracity of the claims.
