A top hair surgeon has revealed how he was forced to turn away a balding bloke who was 'very insistent' they use his pubic hair for a transplant - warning him it 'wouldn't be a great look'.Hair transplant surgeon Dr Umear Ahmad, from award-winning hair transplant clinic Juvida, said blokes desperate for a luscious head of hair are increasingly turning to other patches of body hair as potential donor sites.
Men usually have hair taken from the backs of their heads and transplanted at the front and sides of their heads. But those with little head hair to begin with are increasingly eyeing up their beards, chest and even pubic hair as the answers to their hirsute dreams.In some cases, surgeons at Juvida have successfully transplanted hairs from beards and chests but have drawn the line at pubic hair conceding it 'wouldn't have the best appearance'.Despite not carrying out the op, Dr Ahmad revealed a strange phenomenon in the hair cycle that means pubic hair could be used - but it would take several years to reap the benefits.Dr Ahmad said: "We have had a patient who was very insistent we used the public hair but we didn't go ahead with it."We didn't do the transplant. [The pubic area is] the last-chance saloon, that's the last place you'd be getting it from.
