Dog almost dies after toy gets lodged in his throat as vets issue warning to owners

Scout, a border collie, would have died if not for a hole running straight through the toy that allowed some oxygen to reach his lungs, but he was still wheezing heavily.In the clip, an anxious-looking Scout pants, giving a good view down to his throat where a yellow ball is stuck fast.The distressed pooch sits on a treatment table while staff discuss his condition at a Vets Now clinic in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.Luckily, they were able to remove the ball and Scout recovered.Emergency vet Sarah Douglass used a pair of forceps to gently ease the ball out of Scout’s throat and fortunately it only left a slight amount of inflammation, LadBible reports.Scout's worried owner.
