An NHS nurse was allegedly 'kicked off' a bus after a driver refused to accept her £20 note. The health worker, who was travelling from St Helens to Whiston Hospital, in Merseyside, even showed the Arriva employee her NHS pass as proof but was still booted off.
A taxi driver who collected the woman after she was told to get off the bus on Thursday morning described her treatment as 'disgusting', especially as it happened during the coronavirus crisis.
Joe Millea, who works for Britannia Taxis, told the Liverpool Echo that the woman was visibly upset when she got into his cab.
