The 20-year-old spent last season on loan with Salford City and was impressive in League Two, featuring 29 times as they finished in eighth place in the table.
After returning to United for pre-season this summer, the club have rewarded him with a new deal. The contract runs until 2026 which could take him to 25 years old, meaning he would've been at the club for nine years by the end of it after joining the club's academy aged 16.
