Peter Wright believes he could have another 10 years left at darts’ top table following an operation to remove his gallbladder.Wright was diagnosed with gallstones earlier this year and was operated on last month, forcing him to pull out of the World Series events in Australia and New Zealand.Three weeks on, Snakebite is set to return to action at the Hungarian Darts Trophy this weekend and says he is feeling “100 times better” than prior to his surgery.

I was in so much pain. It’s still a little bit sore and got a bit of bruising but I feel 100 times better now,” he told toyo.co.uk.“But it’s a relief that it’s done, I feel positive for the future going into the next few years, at least five or 10 more.
It feels like I’m starting afresh again.“Obviously I’ve still got to eat healthy and make sure I look after myself. I’m having to stick to fruit and salads and I think that can keep me fit and sharp.” Can Peter Wright regain his world number one status?
