A furious dad headbutted a teacher after he was called to the school to pick up his child over their behavioural problems. Shaun Pattyson, 27, assaulted headmaster Robert Swindells while he was talking to the child's mum.
The parents were called to collect the student, who has been acting out in class on May 9. However, while Mr Swindells was discussing the issue with the youngster's mum, Pattyson confronted the teacher and headbutted him.
Prosecutor Emma Thompson claims the father then proceeded to punch and kick his victim, the Mirror reports. The case was later adjourned by magistrates with Pattyson, who pled guilty to common assault, to be sentenced at North Staffordshire Justice Centre next month.
The prosecution added that Mr Swindells had worked at the secondary school for 25 years, and had served as headteacher for 10 years.
