Dad 'admits' to drowning daughter, 11, by pushing her into river with hands tied

mirror.co.ukThe dad of an 11-year-old girl has reportedly admitted to police pushing her into a river with her hands bound and letting her drown.
The young girl's body was found in the river Rhone river by divers, near the popular tourist hotspot of the island of Piot, in the south east of France.
The victim, named only as Sarah in local reports, had vanished along with her father last Saturday. Authorities had been searching for the girl and her father, 38-year-old Spanish citizen named in French as Sergio Gil Gonzales, since July 18.
Gonzales was arrested at a supermarket about three miles from the scene on Wednesday and is being held in police custody, according to French reports.
