Coronation Street fans were left in hysterics this evening after spotting an accidentally rude line during tonight's episode, featuring the very first socially distanced soap wedding.

This evening, Maria Connor and Gary Windass wed - despite the latter still being in love with ex Sarah Platt. The ceremony involved very few people to adhere to restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic, with cast and crew also needing to stand two metres away from one another.

This made filming the vows rather difficult - and that "kiss the bride" moment impossible. In its place was an unintentionally rude line said by none other than David Platt - and giggling fans flocked to Twitter to comment.
