Deadly coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 300 Brits, NHS England reports, jumping from just 281 yesterday, a figure which shows COVID-19 is sweeping the country.
NHS England reported a further people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total in England to 303. UK victims of the virus have been between the ages of 18 and 102, and have all had underlying health conditions.
Earlier today, Public Health Wales confirmed a further four patients in Wales who tested positive for coronavirus died, bringing the total to 16.
Public Health Wales said 71 new cases had tested positive for Covid-19 but warned the true number of cases is likely to be higher.
