Conservative MP Nadine Dorries has tested positive for coronavirus, it has emerged tonight. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health and Social Care fell ill on Friday last week, The Times reported.
The MP for Mid Bedfordshire is now in isolation where she is understood to be recovering. Dorries has attended a reception with Prime Minister Boris Johnson and was in close contact with hundreds of people in Parliament in the past week.
It is not known who infected the minister, who helped to draw up legislation to tackle the disease and has been working in parliament and the Department of Health and Social Care for the past week.
