Coronation Street bosses are celebrating after tying down actor Daniel Brocklebank in a new contract that will keep him on the cobbles until 2021.
The actor, who plays vicar Billy Mayhew, has pledged to stay in the soap after being promised “exciting” and “juicy” plots.Insiders say Daniel is the latest in a string of stars to sign on the dotted line.Daniel revealed: “I have just signed up for my seventh year on Corrie.
It’s fantastic. It’s nice to get back to some normality.”Street favourites Andy Whyment, who plays lovable Kirk Sutherland, and Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs) both recently announced they had signed new contracts.Bosses were known to be desperate to keep Daniel on the show because he is about to get involved in an explosive.
