Coronation Street fans were left baffled amid Abi Webster's pregnancy nightmare, as she featured in the "centre page spread" of the Weatherfield Gazette.Abi recently gave birth to a baby boy, Alfie, without even realising she was pregnant. And she was thrown into further turmoil by a paternity riddle which suggests Imran Habeeb - who she had a one night stand with - is the father, rather than her husband Kevin. But on Wednesday (March 16), Abi's sister-in-law Debbie flew round to the house to confront her with a newspaper which bore Abi's name on the front page.Eagle-eyed fans of the show, however, were quick to point out that this simply wouldn't happen, as the newspaper in question wouldn't be able to name Abi as the drug-fuelled mum who abandoned her baby at the hospital.Later, Abi theorised with Imran that it must have been one of the members of staff on the maternity ward who leaked Abi's name to the press. But that doesn't explain why the press opted to use the information.

Abi was left fretting about everyone finding out that she had cheated on Imran, and that baby Alfie isn't Kevin's.Taking to Twitter, one baffled fan wrote: "Oh please.

The Weatherfield Gazette would not name Abi. And how the hell have they got a centre spread out of this non-story without interviewing her?""Are the media actually allowed to name the mother like that??" someone else begged. And another fan echoed: "Why is Abi not in the least bit annoyed that the paper has named her?

Because if she did complain, they’d have to have a storyline about how her local paper would never do this."Someone else fumed: "This is really annoying me now.
