Police say the crime is 'particularly prevalent' just now with it aimed mostly, but not exclusively, at men between 18 and 44.Detective Constable Oliver Healy from Gayfield CID said that victims should feel no shame about coming forward and offered tips on how to stay safe.He said: “This is a serious crime which can have catastrophic consequences for some of the victims."It is vital that victims are reassured that police will treat each.
