Manchester Evening News a bout the coronavirus lockdown while out shopping in Stockport with his wife and grandchildren. The borough saw a spike in COVID-19 cases over the weekend, with the number of young adults testing positive for the virus emerging as a 'growing concern'.
Stockport has moved from recording five or fewer cases a day on average through late June and early July to between five and 15 cases per day since last Thursday.The council's chief executive Pam Smith said that was partly down to an outbreak at a care home, but there has also been a rise in cases among young adults.
The news comes after tougher coronavirus restrictions were introduced in Oldham after the borough recorded more than 100 cases in seven days.
