The games will be held in Birmingham next year with Perry - a multicoloured bull - becoming the face of the festivities. Perry was designed by Emma Lou, from Westhoughton, who entered her design into a competition that would decide the mascot.
Emma's sketch was chosen out of hundreds of entries by children aged five to 15 who entered a national competition in the summer of 2020 to design a mascot that represents the history, identity and culture of Birmingham and the West Midlands.
