Former Bolton club Blind Tiger set to become 'moonshine bar' and grill restaurant

51Fifty, which will also be a grill restaurant, is set to open in the former Blind Tiger building, in Nelson Square. Moonshine is a type of alcohol - it got its name from booze sold illicitly during the prohibition era.

The building, which was previously home to the Olive Press restaurant, has been empty since the short-lived Syn Nightclub closed in 2019.

It has now been taken over by Blackburn-based business partners Chris Walker and Brett Bortoft. Chris told the Manchester Evening News about his vision for the venue.
