ITV's lead football commentator for next season. Sam Matterface will take over the mantle but he will continue to work with the broadcasters.
Tyldesley has spent 22 years in the role after initially joining as an understudy to Brian Moore in 1996 from the BBC. Director of ITV Sport Niall Sloane said: "On behalf of ITV Sport, I would like to thank Clive for his superb work leading our commentary on some of the biggest occasions in world football throughout his outstanding career with us."The 65-year-old has worked on some of the biggest sporting occasions in the world.
They include four World Cups, four European Championships and seven FA Cup finals. He has also broadcasted 17 Champions League finals for ITV.
