Brentford. The Danish midfielder has not played since he suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark's defeat to Finland in their opening match of the Euros last summer.Eriksen had his contract terminated at Italian champions Inter Milan last month due to the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator [ICD] he has been fitted with being illegal in Serie A.However, players are permitted to play in the Premier League with an ICD and Eriksen would become the first player with one to play in the league.Sky Sports report that Eriksen is now set to join the Bees on a deal until the end of the season after he passed all the necessary medical checks. The 29-year-old has been cleared fit to return to football and is understood to be on the verge of signing a six-month contract with the club.Since leaving Inter, Eriksen has trained in Switzerland as well as spending time with former club Ajax in a bid to keep fit as he looked for a new club.He previously spent seven years in England with Tottenham Hotspur between 2013 and 2020, making over 200 Premier League appearances and amassing 118 goals contributions in the league.Where will Brentford finish in the Premier League this season?
