Cheltenham 2020’s Ladies Day kicks off today – and bosses will be hoping to avoid scenes like these. Race fans will be out in force for one of the biggest days in the horse racing calendar – with seven big races.
Ladies Day may be when the guys and gals bring out their best fashion, but it also has developed a reputation for when things can become utter carnage.
Punters are banned from bringing their own booze, and bag searches will be in place. Cheltenham chiefs have also rolled out a restriction that race fans can also only buy up to four alcoholic drinks at a time.
And with all that, they will be hoping to avoid scenes like these from Ladies Days’ and the races of years past, including at Cheltenham, Royal Ascot and Aintree.
