CELEBRITY Gogglebox star Shaun Ryder has hit out to defend himself after viewers were left irked over his drug comments on the Channel 4 show.
The rock musician, alongside Happy Mondays bandmate Bez were tasked with giving their take on 1983 American crime drama, Scarface.
The movie, starring Al Pacino, features many cocaine-filled drugs scenes with his character even coining the nickname Yayo for the white powder substance.
On the hilarious show Shaun, 57, quipped: "I know how many grams are in an ounce, I know what my eighth is, my 16 and a quarter." Bez, 56, swiftly quipped: "I'd keep that knowledge to myself." The Sun Online exclusively revealed how his blunt words sparked an outcry with 200 complaints to Ofcom, and he has since raged.
