A young care worker was humiliated to be turned away from her local convenience store because of her uniform. Emily Challinor, 20, was on a break from her busy 3:30-10pm shift and stopped by a Premier store in Chesterton, Staffordshire, for a snack on Friday.
But she was denied entry by a staff member because her uniform indicated she was at higher risk of spreading coronavirus to other customers. "I went to go in and the lady asked me to wait until a customer had exited the shop," Ms Challinor told StokeOnTrentLive. "But then when I tried to go in again, she asked me what uniform I was in, to which I replied 'sorry what?'. "She then said 'well are you a carer or the NHS?'.
