Home care company Home Instead Perthshire has won two awards at the British Recruitment Awards.Home Instead Perthshire was awarded the ‘In-House Recruitment Team of the Year’, and their group recruitment and retention manager, Fiona Lauder, received the ‘Leader of the Year’ award.The British Recruitment Awards acknowledge excellence in recruitment and retention across various sectors, and this year, more than 225 entries were submitted from organisations throughout the UK.Facing recruitment challenges imposed by the pandemic, Home Instead responded proactively to counter the shortage of care professionals.

Their innovative recruitment campaign received recognition as they not only highlighted care as a rewarding career, but also addressed the misconceptions surrounding financial stability.The launch of their #MenCanCare campaign, accompanied by advocating guaranteed income and salaried contracts, resulted in a notable surge in applications.Over the past six months, 20 per cent of their newly recruited care staff were male, marking a significant increase from the previous rate of 10% in the preceding six months.Suhail Rehman, owner of Home Instead Perthshire said: “We’re incredibly proud of this achievement at The British Recruitment Awards.
