The National Living Wage for millions of Brits is set to rise to £9.50 an hour. Chancellor Rishi Sunak is expected to announce the change in his autumn budget on Wednesday.
The Treasury confirmed the move that will see the hourly rate rise from £8.91 to £9.50 for those aged 23 and over. This means that millions of people will see an increase to their wages from April 2022.
