restaurant has hit back at a rude customer who said their food lacked flavour in a brutal one-star review. Jambavan, in Warwick, called out the cheeky diner after he claimed the food wasn't spicy enough and said it was "modest at best".The TripAdvisor review, written by customer Paul, went onto slam the restaurant's service and claimed he was "confronted" by management.
But owner Mahuk defended himself and his hard-working team by stating that he never even met the customer, reports CoventryLive.
Paul, who visited in September last year during a three day trip, captioned his critique: "Poor Food, Worse Service".He wrote: "After having a starter each, which was modest at best along came the main (a Rogan Josh for me and a Biriani for my girlfriend)."These are our usual main of choice whenever we have an Indian in England.
Quite simply the main was lacking in any hint of spice."He continued: "After asking for the Rogan Josh to be given a bit of a kick as it had none at all it was then taken back to the kitchen and brought back to me unpallatively (sic) hot."Skip to the end of the evening we were confronted by whom I assume was the manager who defended the chef by saying everyone has an off day."We weren't offered any deduction of the bill even though I'd left the Rogan Josh as it was inedible.
