He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Boris Johnson has been branded a "bellend" after he suggested that cash-strapped Brits should buy a new kettle to save £10 a year on energy bills.The prime minister made the bizarre outburst as he compared the benefits of investing in nuclear plants to reducing energy bills during one of his final speeches.It comes as the annual energy price cap is set to soar from £1,971 to £3,549 on October 1.
