The body of an 85-year-old woman who died in a crane collapse in Bow, east London, remains trapped at the scene as the search enters a third day, Pensioner June Harvey, who had lived her entire life in the east end of London, was sorting clothes when the crane came crashing through the roof.
Police were called at approximately 2:39pm on Wednesday, to Gale Street along with the ambulance service and fire brigade. Her great nephew, Sam Atkinson, 28, and his 63-year-old mum Jacqueline Atkinson, who was standing just a metre away from Ms Harvey, had a "miracle" escape with only cuts and bruises.
