A 'loyal and caring' grandmother killed when a 65ft crane came crashing through the roof of her home has been pictured. June Harvey was sorting through clothes in her terrace house in Bow, London, when the crane collapsed on Wednesday afternoon and sounded “like a bomb going off”.
She had been standing just metres away from her niece Jacqueline Atkinson, 63, who miraculously escaped with cuts and bruises.
It took a team of specialist firefighters hours to try and recover June's body. At least four other people were injured in the disaster, including a construction worker who remained fighting for life in hospital on Friday.
