Channing Tatum has spoiled the ending of his new movie Dog, over a week before the film even hits theaters.

There’s a good reason though! The 41-year-old actor talked about his new film while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday (February 8) in Los Angeles. Jimmy brought up how dog movies often have tragic endings.

Every single person that I’ve told I made a dog movie, they’re like, ‘I am not going to see it unless you tell me if the dog lives.’ I’m like, ‘But don’t you want to not know the ending of the movie?’” To make sure people aren’t swayed from seeing the movie because of a potentially scarring experience, Channing spoiled the ending. “It’s a good ending, so everyone knows,” Channing said.
