Jump racing will not resume until the start of July, it has been announced. The National Trainers Federation proposed the idea to minimise any unnecessary cost for trainers and owners.
Earlier this week, the British Horseracing Authority said it was working on an operational plan for meetings to restart on the Flat, from May 1 if possible.
A limited number of fixtures are due to be programmed in the initial weeks, with suitable opportunities for horses starting out for the season.
Many National Hunt trainers were already winding their horses down for a summer break, including Emma Lavelle who said 2019 Stayers' Hurdle hero Paisley Park would have missed Punchestown even if it had gone ahead.
