But the albums that coincided with the counterculture era mark a still-fascinating transitional era, when they were still soldiering on, largely forgotten by Top 40 radio and hepsters alike, making some of the best records of their career while awaiting a rediscovery shortly to come.Two of the best albums from that period, “Sunflower” and “Surf’s Up,” are anthologized in a new 50th anniversary boxed set, “Feel Flows – The Sunflower and Surf’s Up Sessions.
