A production assistant working on The CW series Batwoman has reportedly been left paralysed after an accident on set. According to the Vancouver Sun, 30-year-old Amanda Smith may never walk again after the incident.

Smith, who is also a comedian, was working under the Georgia Viaduct in Vancouver when the bucket of a telehandler – also known as a boom lift, similar to a fork-lift truck – hit her head.

The accident occurred on 11 March, reports the publication. ‘She was literally just sitting there and it came down on top of her,’ Amanda’s colleague Tyler Mazzucco told the paper, explaining she couldn’t hear the boom lift behind her over the sound of traffic.
